I like the stout cast iron signage you find in this part of Yorkshire.

You can just see the snicket at the end of the big red arrow.
Snicket is very overgrown with lots of nasty nettles. Continue with care.

Snicket becomes clearer. Much easier walking.

Nearing the end of the snicket. Steps in sight. (The snicket was placed out of bounds after dusk in 1938 to college students).
Emerging from the snicket, turn left and see Lady Lane rise up in front of you. Note on right a former entrance to the college grounds.

Cross Lady Lane with care and continue smartly upward passing the entrance to Oakwood Hall on the left. The main entrance to college is on the right just where the man with the green shirt is.
The main entrance..... Ughhh! You'd think the developers and Bradford Planning Department could have been a little more sensitive and inclusive with their changes. To cheer you up I've just unearthed a photo that was taken little more than 15 paces through this gate in 1975. Please ENTER. |

Left, the same gates in 1911. You can see these gates have lasted well over the last ninety three years.
