Decided to go for a Sunday afternoon drive with my wife, daughter and mum. We set off for Grassington and went via Bingley. Jean and I were there 30years ago. My mum went to Bingley 60 years ago.

I love this site, it brings back so many memories. I knew Ann very well. she came up to Bingley to visit her sister Helen who was in the same year as myself. |

See 'Geordie' Janice is drinking a pint of ale in that marvellous 'curtains' photo. I believe the ladies in that era were the first to be seen drinking pints in the town. In fact the landlord of the White Horse refused to serve pints to ladies. |
| I believe Bingley-based Milne was intermittently employed by the BBC at the World Service at Bush House but sold frisbees to Bingley College students in his spare time. Mad as a hatter.... |
