Jeff Holgrave (top goalie and sailor) explains to Jagger that his T shirt makes him look really groovy. Glynn Lodge is desperate to say that he agrees most sincerely. Young people seeking identity, created shirts to be worn and treasured. The Bingley College PE shirt was such an emblem. Other shirts were created for societies such as the Voluntary Organisation for the Mass Invasion of Taverns. The famous Lone Ranger Society of 1975 sought funds for blue shirts to wear for social occasions and for when they needed to play in soccer games. If anyone has more photos of Bingley College shirts, please send them for inclusion. |
ABOVE: Dave Barlow says:- “This photo shows some students at Buckden House during meal making activities. On the left is Gill Barlow (nee Brunt) the girl to her right I think was called Dawn Hodge, the others I cannot remember but I think the picture shows a rare shot of the Bingley College PE sweatshirt. I wonder if anyone still has one?” The guy at the back is Alan Jordan. |
