Glyn Roberts sent this group photo of students and staff in 1925. His mum, Lydia Wynne Watson attended Bingley 1925-27 and is on the fourth row from the front, third one in from the left of those who appear to be sitting. Her best friend, (called Nellie, Glyn thinks) is to her right. She then went on to teach at Argyle Street School, Hindley (Wigan) after Bingley.

Glyn would love to hear from anyone who may have known his mum… “My mother often spoke of her friends there, but usually only by their forenames and I thought perhaps if her friends also did this, there may be their descendants out there who will have heard of Lydia (Watson then, later Roberts)”.

On the Steps….. “my mum is on the next to the back row on the far right-hand side as you look at the photo. I suspect the one to whom you refer in the middle of the back row was one of the mistresses - she looks older than the others to me”.
