The snap above is of guys about to depart on a 21st celebration. Wide collars, hair and kipper ties were very in vogue. |

Thanks to Mick Jagger (centre) for this cracking photo also taken on Middle Corridor (the floor down from top corridor). Mick is flanked by Colin Rushforth, left and John Cowling, right. Mick is preparing for election to social secretary of the Union. The cardboard cutout is a Miss Babycham aquired on a night of frenzied perry tasting. He was voted in with a huge majority. I think it was probably Mick's tie that swung it. |

Every evening after lectures and tea, Middle Corridor hummed to the sound of young men discussing the day's learning. Here we have L to R : Steve Hill, Stewart Holdsworth, Hughie Aitken and Eugene Gallagher. Steve studies a magazine. Hughie watches telly (black and white of course) and Eugene is probably involved in a game of chess. Another favourite game of the day was Risk which could take up to three hours before someone eventually conquered the world. What was your favourite evening pastime? |
